What is Net Impact?
PSU's Net Impact Chapter is a network of students, alumni and professionals who use the power of business to improve society and the environment. The student-run organization is based in the Center for Global Leadership in Sustainability (CGLS) office on the second floor of the School of Business Administration. PSU's Net Impact Chapter offers events, resources, education, networking opportunities, and career connections focused around business and sustainability.
Am I a good fit?
If you are interested in making the world a better place through business, you are a great fit for Net Impact. Net Impact is the go-to student organization for MBA and other graduate and undergraduate students who want to apply their education towards making the world more socially and environmentally sustainable through their careers. We hold several events throughout the year and partner with professionals working in sustainability in and around Portland, giving students the chance to connect with people who are using their careers to promote social and environmental change.
What are the benefits of joining Net Impact at PSU?
As a member of Net Impact's PSU Chapter, you will be at the intersection of business, society, and the environment. You will be share learning and build connections with other students actively engaged with sustainability at PSU. You will also get to meet professionals who work for organizations committed to sustainability – a great chance to network and get to know sustainable businesses around Portland.
Some of the Net Impact events lined up for 2011-2012 include:
- The national Net Impact Conference right here in Portland
- Tours of sustainable businesses and field trips to social enterprises
- Conversations with faculty teaching courses related to sustainability
- Talks about careers in sustainability from the people working in those positions
- Opportunities to volunteer at green professional events for free/reduced admission

What is involved in being a member?
To be considered a member of PSU's Net Impact Chapter, all you have to do is sign up for our mailing list and attend events. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to subscribe.
Membership with Net Impact Central connects you to resources like Issues in Depth calls, an exclusive job board, discounts to conferences and events, and an extensive professional network that includes leading experts using business to improve the world. Members can sign up for Net Impact Central membership, which costs $35 per year for grad students and $10 per year for undergrads. See Net Impact's membership page for more information.
